We are going virtual!  Mark your calendars for the 6th annual MILES FOR SMILES bike-a-thon on Saturday, September 12, 2020.  Join us by choosing your challenge in celebration of Noah’s 9th birthday and help raise money for anti-bullying programming in our community.

This is your chance to design your own bike challenge.  All we ask is that it be 9 of something since it would be Noah’s 9th birthday.  Some ideas are for you to complete:  9 laps of your favourite route, 9 kms, 9 hill climbs, or 9 different destinations.  Be creative and let us know what you choose to do.

Noah John Winston Miles was a healthy, active and independent little boy who passed away suddenly and unexpectedly just four days after contracting Invasive Group A Streptococcal disease, which is the same bacteria responsible for strep throat and other skin infections. He was three and a half years old at the time.

The Miles family has established The Noah John Winston Miles Foundation as a legacy to Noah’s gentle nature. The Foundation raises funds to financially support educational programming that reduces aggressive behaviour amongst school aged children. Its primary mission is to build a community of youth who understand how their peers feel and respond with compassion and tolerance.

The Noah John Winston Miles Foundation is a Registered Canadian Charity. The Board Members are greatly appreciative of the partnership with the Toronto Foundation, a leading independent charitable foundation. The Toronto Foundation looks after much of the administration, legal, accounting, investment, and governance responsibilities. This allows the Board Members to focus on fundraising and giving!

We are proud to honour Noah by financially supporting anti-bullying initiatives through awarding grants to registered Canadian charities that share our mission, goals and values.
